L’Aigle d’Or has a long family history. It is ideally located at the foot of the Grand Ballon between Colmar and Mulhouse. You will be charmed by the serenity of Rimbach-pres-Guebwiller. Our hotel restaurant has been run by the Marck family since 1927. It has evolved, each generation bringing its personal touch.
It is in this spirit that it is important for Muriel and Thibaut, the fourth generation, to continue the family tradition of hospitality, moved by the desire to create a place that reflects their personality; generous, warm and dynamic and also passionate about nature and the environment.
L’Aigle d’Or is the perfect place for couples and families to get away from it all, to relax, to explore, to enjoy nature, the setting and yourselves.
In the heart of our small village at the foot of the Grand Ballon, our hotel restaurant L’Aigle d’Or is a family hotel with an atmosphere of peace, quiet and well-being. It combines comfort and gastronomy. It also lets you get close to nature and provides you with the opportunity to discover Alsace. Its location is ideal whether your taste is for hill walking, mountain biking, local music and culture, or for exploring the local wine growing villages. Alternatively, you may just want to relax and enjoy nature.
Our 15 rooms are comfortable and cozy. They are very well appointed, with elegant, but simple décor. Whether you are travelling on your own, as a couple, or with your family, our rooms offer all the requirements for a comfortable stay in Alsace.
With a large private garden and a children’s playground, the garden is ideal for children and also for adults, who can relax on our deckchairs and enjoy the fresh air.

At the heart of all our dishes there are the raw ingredients. We choose only the best quality produce, locally sourced and selected with respect for nature and the seasons of the year. Let yourself be uplifted by the energy that emerges from Thibaut’s dishes.
He has been passionate about cooking since his childhood. He is innovative, creative and daring when he is developing our dishes. He merges traditional recipes with modern and sometimes surprising flavours to create delicious food.
In her role of sommelier, Muriel has taken on the task of expanding our wine list. She has regular meetings with the winemakers and shares their passion for wine. She is using her growing knowledge of wine, the different grape varieties and different terroirs to pick the best wines from each wine growing region for our list.
